Will it work at my course?
Golf Scout finds courses worldwide from OpenStreetMap, where volunteers map them hole by hole. Many courses have hole maps, but coverage varies by country. Where a course has none yet, you can still play and score every hole, put the greens on the map yourself, and scan the scorecard. In the UK and Ireland, you can look your course up before you go.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. Everything works on your iPhone, and you can mark shots from the Lock Screen without unlocking it. The Watch app adds distances and Mark shot on your wrist. Golf Scout needs iOS 26 or later, and the Watch app needs watchOS 26.
Can I use it in competitions?
Yes. Start the round as a competition or handicap round and tournament mode turns off plays-like distances and club suggestions, which the Rules of Golf don't allow. GPS distances, hazards and your own hole plans stay.
Is the handicap official?
No. Golf Scout estimates a handicap from your rounds that have a course rating and slope. It's an estimate, not an official Handicap Index.
What happens to my data?
Your rounds, shots and clubs stay on your devices and in your own iCloud. There's no account, and we can't see them. The privacy policy has the details.
How do I cancel Golf Scout Pro?
Apple manages subscriptions. Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Golf Scout. More help is on the support page.
