Common questions
My course has no holes on the map
Course maps come from OpenStreetMap, which volunteers map course by course, so some courses have an outline but no holes yet. You can still play and score every hole there. On a hole with no map, tap Tap the green and put the green on the map, or stand on it and tap I'm on the green: from then on you get the distance to that green on your iPhone and Apple Watch, and it syncs through your iCloud. Tap the hole name to scan the club's scorecard for par, stroke index and yardages. Once a course's holes are added to OpenStreetMap, they appear in Golf Scout too.
How do I restore Golf Scout Pro on a new phone?
Open Profile and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought Pro with.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Apple manages subscriptions. Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Golf Scout. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid being charged for the next one.
Why does the app need my location?
To measure distances from where you're standing, follow the hole you're on and mark where your shots finish. See the privacy policy for exactly how it's used.
