Net score and Stableford calculator
Enter your handicap and your scores to see the strokes you get on each hole, your net score, your Stableford points and your adjusted gross score for handicap purposes.
How it works
- Strokes received. With a playing handicap of 18 you get one stroke on every hole. Above 18, the extra strokes go on the holes with the lowest stroke index first: at 21 you get two on stroke index 1, 2 and 3. Below 18, you get one on stroke index 1 up to your handicap.
- Net score. Your score on the hole, less the strokes you get there.
- Stableford points. 2 points for a net par, 3 for a net birdie, 1 for a net bogey and none for anything worse (Rules of Golf, Rule 21.1b). 36 points means you played to your handicap.
- Adjusted gross score. For your handicap record, each hole counts for no more than net double bogey: par, plus two, plus your strokes on that hole. The scorecard total uses your course handicap for this, not the playing handicap after an allowance.
Golf Scout keeps your scorecard, with strokes, putts, fairways and penalties for every hole. Get it on the App Store.
